Benefit Programs

Extended Health Care:

Provides protection against the charges for medically necessary services and supplies when there is only partial or no reimbursement from your provincial medical plan.  This coverage is for you or you and your family. Options include single or family coverage. ATS pays 100% of the premium.  Applies to fulltime and part-time employees. Eligible for coverage after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

Dual Coverage:  If employee and spouse (or life partner) both work for ATS only one of the employees is eligible to elect family coverage.  The other employee would need to waive coverage.

 

Dental Insurance:

Provides dental coverage and protection against the charges for dental services and supplies where there is no reimbursement from your provincial medical plan.  This coverage is for you or you and your family.  Options include single or family coverage. ATS pays 100% of the premium for fulltime employees. Part-time employees pay 50% of the premium.  Eligible for coverage after six (6) months of continuous employment.

 

Life Insurance:

Provides life insurance on the employee in the amount of $25,000.  ATS pays 100% of the premium. Applies to fulltime and part-time employees.  Eligible for coverage after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

    

Dependent Life Insurance:

Provides life insurance on dependents; Spouse in the amount of $10,000 and $5,000 per child.  ATS pays 100% of the premium. Applies to fulltime and part-time. Eligible for coverage after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

 

A D & D Insurance:

Payable when you suffer an Accidental Bodily Injury which causes a loss within 12 months of the accident.  Benefits are paid in a lump sum to you, or if the injury results in death, to the beneficiary.  Coverage amount on the employee is $25,000.   ATS pays 100% of the premium.  Applies to fulltime and part-time employees.  Eligible for coverage after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

 

Long Term Disability:

Provides coverage protection against loss of income if you become totally disabled for relatively long periods of time.  If you become totally disabled, the Benefit Amount is payable to you. ATS pays 100% of the premium.  Applies to fulltime and part-time employees. Eligible for coverage after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

 

Drug Card Plan:

Provides coverage for you or you and your family for drugs, medicines, or supplies provided by a licensed pharmacist for charges resulting from sickness or Accidental Bodily Injury. Options include single or family coverage. ATS pays 100% of the premium. Applies to fulltime and part-time employees. Eligible for coverage after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

 

Vision:

Provides some protection against the charges for services and supplies when your provincial medical plan does not provide coverage for you or you and your family. Options include single or family coverage. ATS pays 100% of the premium.  Applies to fulltime and part-time employees. Eligible for coverage after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

 

Vacation:

Provides paid time off for you away from work for rest and relaxation.  It is expected that employees use their vacation by the end of the calendar year.  Vacation accrues at a rate of:

  • 4% after one year of employment
  • 6% after 5 consecutive complete years of service
  • 8% after 10 consecutive complete years of service
  • Applies to all employees.

 

Pay Increases:

Employees eligible for annual wage increases, up to the maximum wage for the position, based upon the employee’s tenure.

 

Holiday Worked Premium:

Employees working an ATS recognized holiday will receive 1.5x their regular hourly rate for all hours worked.  Holidays include New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.  Applies to all employees that work on the holiday.

 

Paid Holidays:

Employees receive holiday pay for federal statutory holidays.  Applies to employees that have been employed with the company for more than 30 days.

 

Employee Assistance Program:

Paid for by ATS.  Allows employees or their immediate family members to call a confidential, toll-free number to get help or guidance on issues such as family problems, stress, financial or legal problems, alcoholism, drug abuse or other personal problems.  Applies to all employees.

 

Registered Savings Plan:

Provides opportunity to save for retirement.  ATS matches 25% of the first 4% of employee’s contribution.  Applies to all employees with more than one (1) year of employment.

 

Training:

Paid for by ATS.  ATS furnishes all required equipment and supplies and pays for all on-the-job training including safety, operations and proper use of all equipment.  Applies to all employees.

 

Direct Deposit:

Employees are to have their paycheque directly deposited into any financial institution.  Applies to all employees.

 

Workers Compensation:

Provides medical and time loss coverage in the event of an on-the-job injury or illness.  Applies to all employees.

 

Uniforms:

Uniform is required. ATS will reimburse employees up to $100 per year for safety boots upon presentation of receipt.
